Ascent is based in Connecticut. So naturally, we climb quite a bit in our own backyard at places like Ragged Mountain, Sleeping Giant and the shoreline crags.
We also love to visit some of the northeast's great destinations with our guests, places like the Adirondacks (NY) and White Mountains (NH). Inquire about availability.

Yes! All Ascent programs include the necessary climbing and rigging equipment with no additional charge.
We can provide harness, helmet, belay device, carabiners, climbing shoes or ice climbing boots, crampons, ice tools, ropes and rigging equipment.

Yes! You'll probably be more comfortable using your own harness, helmet, boots, etc.
Please bear in mind that (a) equipment must be in good, unaltered condition; (b) must be manufactured specifically for climbing and (c) soft goods like harnesses must be less than 7 years of age, regardless of usage.

Download our trip info and packing list to help prepare for your climbing trip. In some cases, we have extra backpacks, winter clothing, etc if you're missing anything important.
