Course Details
You’ve heard the adage “plan for the best, prepare for the worst”. Join us for a hands-on workshop where we teach you how to avoid common climbing hazards - and how to get out of dicey situations on the cliff.
No expensive rescue equipment is necessary. We’ll use the rope, slings, and carabiners you already own.
You’ll learn:
+ How to escape the belay
+ Assisted raises from above
+ Assisted descents - pick off, tandem rappel
+ Improvised belay/rappel - when you drop your gear
+ Avoiding common climber traps
+ Risk mitigation & decision making
Prerequisites
Climbing independently outdoors at any level. Ideal for trad climbers or folks who lead trips.
